Southern Chesapeake has four fall farms within a short drive of each other, and no two keep the same calendar. Bergey's Breadbasket is closed on Sundays. Mount Pleasant Farms runs its festival only on October weekends. Hickory Ridge Farm is open every day, and Historic Greenbrier Farms adds a separate nighttime event on Fridays and Saturdays. Because of that, the day you go sets your options before the farm does.
Today is Sunday, October 4, 2026, and the season is about four weeks from ending. Bergey's and Mount Pleasant close out on Saturday, October 31. Hickory Ridge and Greenbrier go one more day, to Sunday, November 1. Here's how the week breaks down if you live close enough to make more than one trip.
| Day | Hickory Ridge Farm | Bergey's Breadbasket maze | Mount Pleasant Farms festival | Historic Greenbrier Farms |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Monday to Thursday | Open, 9 AM to 6 PM | Open, $12 maze and petting zoo | Festival not running | Farm site lists daily hours; confirm |
| Friday | Open | Open, $17 package | Festival not running | Haunting, 7 to 11 PM; farm site lists daytime hours |
| Saturday | Open, food trucks | Open, $22 package | 10 AM to 6 PM | Festival plus haunting |
| Sunday | Open, food trucks | Closed | 10 AM to 5 PM | Festival |
Sunday Is the Day With a Gap
Begin with Sunday, because Sunday has the most limits. The Breadbasket at 2207 Mount Pleasant Road lists its hours as Monday through Saturday, 11 AM to 6 PM, and "Closed Sundays." Bergey's posts its corn maze prices for every day except Sunday.
Mount Pleasant Farms, next door at 2201 Mount Pleasant Road, is open on Sunday, but on a shorter schedule. The festival runs 10 AM to 5 PM on Sundays, compared with 6 PM on Saturdays, and the last maze tickets and kids' wristbands are sold at 4 PM. If you arrive after church or a late brunch, the real window is closer to four hours than seven.
That leaves two farms with full Sunday options. Hickory Ridge Farm at 2928 S. Battlefield Boulevard is open 9 AM to 6 PM every day, and its food trucks are there on weekends. Historic Greenbrier Farms at 225 Sign Pine Road holds its Fall Festival on Saturdays and Sundays, with pumpkin picking, hayrides, farm animals, a playground, bounce houses, local vendors, and food and drinks. Greenbrier's own site lists $10 parking on Saturdays and Sundays from 9 AM to 6 PM.
Saturday Costs the Most at Bergey's
On Saturday, all four farms are open, and Bergey's prices reflect that. Its 10-acre maze, a Bergey's tradition since 2008, has an aviation theme this year. Bergey's sets its October prices by day of the week:
- Monday to Thursday: $8 for the petting zoo only, or $12 for the maze and petting zoo, ages 2 to 64.
- Friday: $17 for ages 8 to 64 and $12 for ages 2 to 7. That covers the maze, a hayride, the petting zoo, pumpkin patch access, and one shot on the corn gun.
- Saturday: the same package for $22 for ages 8 to 64, with ages 2 to 7 staying at $12.
Children 1 and under get in free, and so does anyone 65 and up.
For two adults and two kids 8 or older, the Friday package comes to $68 and the Saturday package comes to $88, for the same activities. If a grandparent 65 or older comes along, they get in free either day. The Monday through Thursday ticket is cheaper still, but Bergey's lists hayrides and pumpkin patch access only with the Friday and Saturday packages. That makes the weekday visit mostly a maze and petting-zoo trip.
Bergey's says pricing is subject to change and points visitors to its Facebook page.
At Mount Pleasant, the choice is between paying per activity and buying a wristband. A la carte, the maze is $8, wagon rides are $5, barrel train rides are $5 each, and the playground area, which includes the corn pit, hay maze, and petting zoo, is $4 per child. Adults get into the playground area free. A $20 kids' wristband covers the maze, a wagon ride, the pumpkin patch, the play area and petting zoo, and unlimited barrel train rides. If your child does the maze, one wagon ride, one barrel train ride, and the playground once each, a la carte adds up to $22. That makes the $20 wristband the cheaper choice even before any extra barrel train rides. The barrel train has a 50-pound weight limit. Mount Pleasant runs two mazes this year, a smaller kid-sized one and its regular one.
Bergey's and Mount Pleasant are next door to each other, so you can visit both on one Saturday without moving the car far.
Weekdays Mostly Mean Hickory Ridge
After a weekend, most of this calendar goes quiet. Mount Pleasant's festival is a weekend-only event, recurring on Saturdays and Sundays. Greenbrier's schedule depends on which source you read. Its 2026 Fall Festival listing on Visit Chesapeake runs on Saturdays and Sundays only. The farm's own undated fall page lists Fall Festival hours of Monday through Sunday, 9 AM to 6 PM, with free hayrides to the patch and a daytime corn maze. This post goes by the dated 2026 weekend listing, so call the farm before planning a weekday visit there. Bergey's runs its $12 maze-and-zoo ticket Monday through Thursday.
Hickory Ridge is the one farm that says outright that its weekday is the same as its weekend. Its listing reads:
"We are open EVERYDAY and offer everything, everyday. Food trucks on the weekends."
"Everything" covers a lot. The list includes storybook character hayrides, a barrel train, bounce houses, a children's corn maze, a corn pit, a hay mountain, a toddler hay maze, you-pick sunflowers, and a you-pick pumpkin patch. There's also kettle corn, cider donuts, hot cider, a fully stocked farm stand, and a full-service coffee truck serving lattes, smoothies, and refreshers. Pony rides run 10 AM to 2 PM with a 75-pound weight limit, weather permitting. The listing shows admission as free and the season running daily from September 23 through November 1, 2026.
There are two practical details for a weekday stop. Hickory Ridge says it is dog-friendly but asks that dogs stay away from the working ponies. It also prefers cash to avoid credit card fees, though it accepts all forms of payment.
Some places on Mount Pleasant Road are open on weekdays even when the festivals aren't. Mount Pleasant Farms lists its store hours as Tuesday through Sunday, 10 AM to 5 PM, with mums and gourds for sale. It describes itself as a family-owned farm market and orchard carrying its own eggs, local seasonal produce, and dairy items. The Bergey's Breadbasket store calls itself a family-run farm, bakery, deli, and creamery. It serves made-to-order deli sandwiches on freshly baked rolls. Its homemade ice cream comes in cups, cones, flights, shakes, and floats, or in pints and quarts to take home. The bakery case carries scratch-made pies, cookies, cinnamon rolls, danishes, cupcakes, and muffins. A weekday trip after school with no maze at all is still a full visit.
Friday Nights Go to Greenbrier
Greenbrier's nighttime event starts the weekend early. "A Haunting at Greenbrier Farms" runs Fridays and Saturdays from 7 PM to 11 PM through October 31, 2026. Admission is $20 per person, and tickets are sold inside Ms. Bee's Farmers Market. On a Friday, you can pair Bergey's $17 package in the afternoon with Greenbrier after dark and skip Bergey's $22 Saturday price.
For pumpkins, Greenbrier's site lists patch pumpkins starting at $12 and farm-market pumpkins starting at $5, with prices varying by size and type. Those prices don't carry a year, so treat them as a starting point. Greenbrier also describes hayrides out to a 15-acre pumpkin patch, along with a flower cart and pre-picked pumpkins, mums, hay bales, and cornstalks.
The Season Ends on Different Days
The calendar has three dates left that change your plans.
- Friday, October 23. Mount Pleasant Farms has scheduled Trick or Treating Through the Corn Maze at 2201 Mount Pleasant Road. Details and pricing are listed as "Coming soon." It falls on a Friday, so it's outside Mount Pleasant's usual weekend festival days.
- Saturday, October 31. This is the last day for Bergey's maze, Mount Pleasant's festival, and Greenbrier's haunting. It's also a Saturday, which means Bergey's top $22 package price applies on its final day.
- Sunday, November 1. Hickory Ridge and Greenbrier's Fall Festival are the only two still open. Bergey's is closed on Sundays anyway, and Mount Pleasant's festival will have ended the day before.
Counting today, Mount Pleasant has eight festival days left: October 4, 10, 11, 17, 18, 24, 25, and 31. For a weekend-only farm, that is the whole remaining season. Every farm here says its dates and hours can change and directs visitors to Facebook for updates, so check before you drive out Battlefield Boulevard or Mount Pleasant Road.
