Meet Jose Nunez Jr.

José L. Nuñez Jr. is an active-duty U.S. Navy service member and Aviation Technician, and he is also bilingual (English/Spanish). Originally from New Jersey, José brings discipline, precision, and a mission-first mindset to real estate paired with a deep, personal connection to what “home” truly means.

Coming from a huge Dominican family, José has seen firsthand how often families are stuck in apartment living, sharing walls, watching the noise, and making themselves smaller to fit the space. The moment his family purchased their first home, José saw the real power of ownership. It wasn’t just property it was freedom. He watched his family play music, laugh, and dance as long as they wanted because they were no longer sharing walls with strangers. That experience shaped his passion for helping others find a place where they can truly live.

José’s work ethic was built early and the hard way. At 14 years old, he was working construction alongside his father not as a hobby, but because it was necessary. His family was still paying rent while also having to cover a mortgage, and their contractor wasn’t showing up to get the work done. So José, his older brother Luis and his father stepped in. While most kids were having a typical summer, José was laying flooring, learning to set tile, hanging sheetrock, and mastering tools like a nail gun, drill, hammer, and more. He also received training in electrical routing and plumbing. That season taught him something that still defines him today show up, take ownership, and complete the job with proficiency even when nobody else does.

That same foundation carried into real estate when José and his father purchased a one-story home and transformed it into a two-story through renovation and construction. When the home sold for more than $50,000 above what they anticipated, José realized real estate could be a “cheat code” a real, repeatable way to build stability, create opportunity, and change a family’s trajectory. After 14 years of apartment living, he had finally seen what an investment truly looks like.

José also has personal experience as an investor. At 20 years old, he purchased his first duplex. When his father needed surgery, José made the decision to sell that duplex in order to support his father financially. Later, he used the remaining funds to invest in a home that needed work then took an entrepreneurial approach by renting rooms to create consistent monthly income. Today, José owns two successful income producing rental properties, giving him firsthand experience on the investment and landlord side of real estate.

In his real estate practice, José specializes in the home buying process especially for VA buyers. Having personally used the VA Loan to purchase three homes, he understands the process from the inside out and helps military and veteran clients feel prepared, confident, and protected throughout the transaction. In addition to helping buyers, José supports sellers and renters with clear communication, strong strategy, and a hands on approach especially when timelines are tight and transitions are stressful.

At the core of José’s “why” is family. As a newly proud father, he is focused on building a legacy and setting an example through action showing what discipline, consistency, and ownership can create over time. Everything he does his military service, his real estate work, and his investment mindset is driven by his dedication to creating a better future for his family. He believes homeownership is one of the strongest tools for stability and generational growth, and he takes pride in helping others take that same step forward.
